How to choose retort pouch factory?

Do you have these difficulties when using retort pouches?

1, Bags break after steaming. 2, Liquid leaks after steaming. 3, Odor during use. 4,Printing changes color after steaming. 5, Black spots appear after UV sterilization. 6,Difficult to heat seal.
If you have these difficulties, please read this chapter patiently, it may help you solve these difficulties.

Why choose retort pouches?

Retort pouches bag compared to other packaging

Comparison Dimensions retort pouches Metal cans / glass containers Plain bag
Material Composite plastic film (lightweight) Metal / Glass (Heavy) Composite plastic film (lightweight)
High temperature resistance 100℃-135℃ steaming and sterilization Can withstand high temperatures, but conducts heat slowly 0-70℃
Portability Lightweight, foldable, takes up little space Bulky and non-foldable Lightweight, foldable, takes up little space
How to open Easy to tear or open with scissors, more convenient Can opener or tool required Easy to tear or open with scissors, more convenient
Food quality preservation Short heating time, less loss of nutrition and flavor High temperature treatment time is long, and the taste is easily affected normal

What bag types are supported by retort pouch?

3 side seal bags, stand up pouches, spout pouches

Retort Bag Customized Production Process

The production of custom retort pouches can be summarized as follows:

  1. Needs Analysis & Design: Understand customer needs regarding application, dimensions, materials, functions, and printing. Then, provide design drafts for approval.
  2. Material Prep: Select and customize multi – layer materials like PET, aluminum foil or EVOH, and food – grade CPP/HDPE, adding special additives if needed.
  3. Printing (Optional): Use flexographic or rotogravure printing, ensuring food – safe ink application and quality.
  4. Lamination: Bond layers through dry lamination or co – extrusion, controlling temperature, pressure, and speed.
  5. Bag Forming: Make flat bags, stand – up pouches, or roll stock, and seal with heat or impulse sealing.
  6. Quality Checks: Test physical properties (barrier, heat resistance, seal strength) and conduct microbiological tests.
  7. Finishing & Packaging: Add custom features and package the pouches.
  8. Final Steps: Inspect, provide documentation, and arrange delivery.

Why our retort bags are better than other factories?

Materials:

Many factories use waste materials, which will cause the quality of bags to be unstable. We use raw materials that meet EU standards and are certified by FDA, EU, etc. This is why other food brands seek our help.

Ink:

Printing ink is the key to the performance of packaging bags. We choose ink according to your purpose, and different inks also have different grades. For sustainable development, we use high-quality inks that meet GB9685, EC1935/2004, FDA 21 CFR and other standards to firmly combine your design and brand information with the packaging bag to avoid the printing pattern from falling off, and high-temperature steaming will not fade or fall off.

Glue:

Composite glue is a functional adhesive used to bond multi-layer packaging materials together to ensure the interlayer bonding strength of the composite material while meeting the requirements of temperature resistance, barrier, food safety, etc.

When producing retort bags, general factories require interlayer peel strength ≥3.0N/15mm (or ≥5.0N/15mm), but our factory’s requirements are stricter than these. Only strict quality control can give customers a good quality, and we are always responsible for our customers.

Retort Pouches bag are our factory’s trump card!!! We have unique production technology.
