Custom flat bottom pouch
Flat Bottom Pouch, often translated into Chinese as Stand-up Pouch or Flat-bottom Pouch, is a flexible packaging form with self-standing function, widely used in food, cosmetics, daily chemical products and industrial products. The core of its design lies in the innovation of the bottom structure, which allows it to stand stably without additional support, combining functionality, display and cost-effectiveness.

The typical feature of a Stand-up Pouch is the flat bottom structure (Flat Bottom), which forms a stable rectangular or square base through bottom folding and heat sealing technology. Its structure usually includes:
Four-side sealing: The bag body is sealed by the front and back film materials on all four sides to ensure sealing.
Bottom support: The bottom is folded and heat-sealed to form a double-layer structure to enhance load-bearing capacity and stability.
Top sealing: Zipper sealing (Zipper), tear notch (Tear Notch) or heat sealing strip are used to support repeated opening and closing and keep the contents fresh.
Flat bottom pouch (bag) usually has three or four layers. We can produce kraft paper, aluminum foil, plastic materials according to your needs. And the shape of transparent window can be customized.Common combinations of materials include:
Outer layer: polyester (PET) or nylon (PA), providing tear resistance and printing base.
Barrier layer: aluminum foil (Aluminum Foil) or silicon oxide film (SiOx), blocking oxygen, light and moisture.
Inner layer: polyethylene (PE) or co-extruded film (CPP), ensuring heat sealing performance and food contact safety.

1. Displayability
The self-supporting design can maximize the display of brand logos and patterns, support high-definition color printing and metallization effects, and enhance visual appeal.
2. Freshness & versatility: Extend the shelf life of food through high barrier materials, such as moisture and oxidation protection of coffee and nuts.
3. Convenient use: The zipper seal is convenient for multiple use, suitable for products that require controlled dosage, such as liquid seasonings and skin care products.
4. Economical and efficient
Compared with rigid packaging (such as glass bottles and plastic cans), the material cost is reduced by 30%-50%.
According to the Global Packaging Association, the market share of stand-up pouches will reach US$21.7 billion in 2023, with an annual growth rate of 8.2%, driven by the following factors:
E-commerce demand: lightweight and anti-fall properties are suitable for express delivery and reduce the breakage rate.
Sustainable development: the application of biodegradable bio-based materials (such as PLA coating) has increased.
Customized service: small batch flexible printing technology meets the personalized needs of brands.
